Kidnapping Charges: Two murderers sentenced for life

The convicts were also given an additional five-year imprisonment and fined Rs200,000 for distorting the facts

KARACHI: A district and sessions court sentenced on Monday two men to life imprisonment after convicting them of kidnapping a man and later murdering him. District East additional and sessions judge Inam Ali Kalhoro gave the punishment to Asif Ali and Duraiz as they were found guilty of abducting Tehseen Anwar from Ferozabad over a monetary dispute in January 2010 and then killing him. According to the prosecution, the victim was a business partner of Adnan Azeem, one of the absconding accused in the case. Azeem, in collusion with his accomplices, including the two convicts, kidnapped Anwar and killed him. The convicts were also given an additional five-year imprisonment and fined Rs200,000 for distorting the facts of the case and destroying evidence. The judgment read that if they fail to pay the fine, they will undergo one more year punishment in jail.
