Sad demise: Death of Prof Ansari condoled
Prof Ansari’s funeral was held on Faisal Masjid
International Islamic University (IIU) Islamabad heads and teachers have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of professor and veteran scholar Zafar Ishaq Ansari. Prof Ansari passed away on Sunday morning. He served at the IIUI as Vice-President (HSR), Dean Faculty of Shariah and Law and was known as one of the pioneer administrators of the university. He was well known for his works “towards understanding Quran”. IIUI Rector Dr Masoom Yasinzai and IIUI President Dr Ahmed Yousif Al-Dariweesh in their messages prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and termed his demise an irreparable loss. They said that the varsity has lost a great scholar and a prudent administrator. Prof Ansari’s funeral was held on Faisal Masjid. The funeral was attended by IIUI faculty members, employees, friends, and a large number of people from the twin cities.
