Death Warrants: Execution scheduled for April 26
Baig said the death warrants were issued on Friday after the president declined his mercy appeal

A murder convict on death row will be hanged at Mianwali Central Jail on April 26. Jail Superintendent Mirza Sajid Baig told newsmen on Saturday that Muhammad Yar had been convicted of shooting dead Muhammad Iqbal and his wife Parveen Bibi over a land dispute in 2004. He said the man had been sentenced to death by a district and sessions judge. He said his appeal had been rejected by the Supreme Court. Baig said the death warrants were issued on Friday after the president declined his mercy appeal.
