Corruption inquiries: Lt-Gen Ghani denies media reports

Ghani says that he was not facing any inquiry either by the military or any other forum

Lt-General (retd) Sajjad Ghani has denied media reports that he had been subjected to any investigation over corruption charges.


Ghani, who served as the Karachi corps commander, told The Express Tribune that he was not facing any inquiry either by the military or any other forum. “All that has been published so far has been done with malicious intentions to tarnish my reputation,” he insisted.

He however, added that “I am accountable at any tier of the judicial system and to the people of Pakistan and will be available at any forum to maintain my claim and if proven otherwise I am willing to withstand anything the courts and the people of my beloved country decide for me.”
