LAHORE: The Ninth International Garment, Textile & Leather Machinery and Accessories exhibition and conference (IGATEX-2016) Pakistan began at the Expo centre on Wednesday. The event, inaugurated by Provincial Minister for Industry Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq, features textile machinery, equipment and accessories. Shafiq said that such events provide business opportunities and add value to exports that would positively impact the economy. He said the event would introduce new expertise, improve trade benefits and increase foreign investment through visits by international delegates. This year IGATEX Pakistan featured over 550 exhibitors from 35 countries including China, Germany, Japan and Switzerland. The exhibition will continue till Friday.
