Partnership: Registration certificates sought from schools

The PEF will also get the registration certificates verified from the School Education Department

The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has sought registration certificates from partner schools.


The Punjab government has handed over several government schools in the province including Rawalpindi division to the PEF under the public-private partnership programme. A circular in this regard has been issued by the PEF has asked partner schools to furnish certificates within 15 days, failing which will invoke strict disciplinary action. The PEF will also get the registration certificates verified from the School Education Department and in case of a bogus certificates, partnership will be cancelled, besides initiating legal action, the circular warned.


Meanwhile, the PEF has provided 8,010 textbooks to 11 partner schools in Jhelum, 54,396 textbooks to 53 schools in Minchinabad and 55,225 textbooks to 80 schools in Taunsa Sharif on Wednesday. The books distribution drive will continue in Rawalpindi, Sahiwal and Toba Tek Singh districts on Thursday.
