Mysterious death: Indian prisoner’s body handed over
The sub-inspector said that the cause of his death would be ascertained after the autopsy and forensic report

The body of a 50-year-old Indian prisoner, who died under mysterious circumstances at Jinnah hospital on April 11, was handed over to Indian authorities at Wagah Border on Tuesday. Sub-inspector Nafees said that Kirpal Singh’s autopsy was conducted by a medical board at Jinnah hospital’s morgue. The doctors sent his body parts for further examination to Punjab Forensic Science Agency. Later, the body was shifted to Wagah Border and handed over to the Border Security Force in presence of the senior officers of both sides. Family members and relatives of the victim were also present at the occasion. The sub-inspector said that the cause of his death would be ascertained after the autopsy and forensic report. However, ‘circumstantial evidences’ suggested that he died of natural death.
