A five-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a prayer leader in the Ahatta area of Taxila on Friday. Taxila Police DSP Saleem Khattak said the 31-year-old prayer leader was the victim’s Quran teacher.
The accused is said to have taken the girl to an under construction house in the area and assaulted her.
The police have arrested the accused and registered a case against him after a medical examination was conducted on the victim.
