National Action Plan: Police take 25 people into custody

Police checked hotels, hostels, restaurants and other residential buildings

Faisalabad police claimed to have arrested 25 suspects from various parts of Faisalabad in a search operation on Wednesday-Thursday.


A police spokesperson said on Thursday that City Police Officer Afzaal Kausar had launched the search operation to tighten security at the entrances of the district under the National Action Plan. He said they had police checked hotels, hostels, restaurants and other residential buildings and had verified the identification of people living there.

During the search operation, the police rounded up more than 25 suspects and took them to police stations for further investigation, the spokesman said.
