Wind energy projects: Chinese delegation visits Sindh

The delegation expressed its interest in local manufacturing of machinery and installation of wind mills

Chinese manufacturers have shown investment interest in wind energy projects in Sindh, Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) said.


A 14-member delegation, led by Vice Mayor of Ghangyi City Tao Jianxing, met Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) Director Projects Abdul Azeem Uqaili and other officials to discuss investment prospects. The delegation expressed its interest in local manufacturing of machinery and installation of wind mills, which would not only produce energy but also boost employment opportunities and local production of technology in Pakistan.


Shandong Swiss Electric Company Chairman Qizhi Zhang said that China, Germany and Switzerland were partners in his company, which was among the top global companies in the field.“We want to set up a wind energy machinery manufacturing factory and wind power project in Sindh,” he said.
