New hopes: Islamabad mayor calls on Mamnoon

The president directed the mayor to devise a practicable mechanism to solve the issue of illegal settlements

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain hopes that newly-elected mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Anser Aziz will utilise his capabilities in serving people of the capital and providing them with all essential services to further improve their standard of life. The president said this while talking to Aziz who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday. The president directed the mayor to devise a practicable mechanism to solve the issue of illegal settlements and slum areas in Islamabad. He also expressed his confidence in the mayor and hoped that he will evolve an effective setup to serve the people in the best manner.
