Cleanliness: CDA urges use of bins along trails
The authority said it has launched anti-littering campaigns many times to create awareness at recreational points
ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority has installed dustbins at various places along the hiking trails of Margalla Hills to ensure cleanliness. However, in spite of this, people do not use them properly and throw empty bottles and waste in open places, a CDA official said. The authority said it has launched anti-littering campaigns many times to create awareness at recreational points. Hamza Ahmed, a trekker, said regular visitors do not litter along the trails, but that the people who come with meals and drinking water litter, despite the civic agency’s installed bins.
