Aspirants eyeing the PK-8, Peshawar-VIII Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly seat started work on their nomination papers with Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
At least eight candidates—independents and politically affiliated—submitted their nomination papers on Wednesday.
The last date for nomination papers is April 7 (today) and according to Election Commissioner Inayatullah Khan Wazir, 33 nomination forms have been collected by aspiring candidates from the ECP. Wazir added papers will be scrutinised on April 11 to 12 and a final list of candidates will be displayed by April 20. Elections will be conducted on May 12.
