Roots of militancy

Addressing officials on the occasion, Shaheen said the FC is determined to eliminate the roots of terrorism and the forces have played an important role in achieving this target.

He added Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan Agency is in its final stages and militants have fled the region.

“All those militants who have escaped are being chased and military action will continue until all terrorists are eliminated,” the IG said.

Shaheen expressed his gratitude to the tribespeople for the sacrifices they have made over the years. “Through their support and sacrifices, military actions have become success stories,” he said.

According to Shaheen, the country and its people are grateful to the tribespeople and officials of the FC for their valuable contribution to the ongoing war against militancy.
