5-Day Conference: APHC chief invited to attend OIC summit
OIC summit is held every three years in which Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders are invited

APHC chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been formally invited by the secretary general of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, to attend the 13th summit which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from April 10 to April 15, 2016. The OIC summit is held every three years in which Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders are invited. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement, thanked the OIC and its secretary general for inviting him to the Summit in Istanbul. He said that being an important forum of the Islamic countries, OIC was responsible for playing a key role in helping the Islamic world get rid of the problems confronting it. He appreciated the OIC for its continued political and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir who had been struggling to secure their right to self-determination.
