Drug Bust: Heroin smuggling bid foiled

ASF took the suspect into custody and later handed him over to the Anti-Narcotics Force

ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle heroin abroad and arrested a passenger from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport. The suspect, Shahbaz, a resident of Khushab, intended to fly to Abu Dhabi via flight EY234. While scanning the suspect’s luggage, the ASF found 1kg of heroin which was concealed in hidden pockets. ASF took the suspect into custody and later handed him over to the Anti-Narcotics Force for registration of a case.
