Safety at coalmines: Nine arrested in Orakzai Agency

HANGU: The political administration of Orakzai Agency took action against nine people for failing to introduce safety measures for workers at coalmines. The decision comes a day after five labourers died in an explosion at a coalmine in Doli area of the agency run by Shiraz Coal Company. Speaking to The Express Tribune, an official of the political administration said at least six owners of coal mine companies and three administrative officers have been arrested on charges of negligence.”
