The Citizens Police Liaison Committee, in collaboration with Yousuf Plaza police, apprehended three suspected kidnappers and recovered an abducted teenager. The suspects, identified as Rab Nawaz, Muzaffar Hussain and Ejaz Ali, were arrested after an exchange of fire near Water Pump in Federal B Area. Danish, 17, was recovered from the hideout as well.
Yousaf Plaza SHO Husasin Buksh Marri said the suspects had kidnapped Danish from Baloch Colony on Sunday morning and had demanded Rs1.5 million in ransom from his family.
Police traced the kidnappers' call to the family, explained Marri, adding that the suspects are under treatment at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital as they were arrested in an injured condition.
Separately, at least six suspects were arrested during a police operation in Karnal Basti area of PIB Colony.
