Before breaking into Bollywood and becoming a showstopper on the fashion runway, Sonakshi Sinha was happy designing for others. However, the actor shared she now wishes to return to her roots and launch her own clothing line soon. The 28-year-old who walked the ramp for designer Anita Dongre at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016, said destiny brought her to acting but designing clothes, has always piqued her interest more.

“Destiny had different plans for me and acting happened. But designing has always been at the back of my mind,” Sonakshi said at the fashion extravaganza, reported Indian Express. “Acting is a profession which is co-related to fashion, it is a part of my everyday job. I might be getting back to designing soon.” When asked what she will name her clothing line, she said ‘Asli Sona’, which is also the name of her Instagram account.

Sonakshi turns over new leaf

Sonakshi started her career as a designer and now that she walks ramps as a celebrity, the Dabangg actor feels her life has come full circle. “I go back with Lakme Fashion Week a long way. When I was a student I was a volunteer here, I used to check passes and make people sit. And now I am walking on the ramp here,” she added.

Speaking about her sense of style, she stated, “I like being comfortable in what I wear. In my profession, I have to dress up but my personal sense of style is very laid-back and casual.” While she remains keen on launching her fashion line, she has not turned her back on acting. On the career front, Sonakshi will next be seen in Akira and Force 2.
