All efforts will be made to bring perpetrators of the Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park attack to justice, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Tuesday.
He was talking to parents of a child, Amaan Jan, who had died in the deadly attack on Sunday. He had gone to Jan’s house, located on Ferozpur Road. He also visited residences of several other victims and condoled with the bereaved families. He gave away cheques of financial assistance.
“Though I cannot bring your child back, I promise that no effort will be spared in avenging the deaths of innocent people with the help of the nation,” he said.
Later, the CM visited the house of Prince Bhatti and his nephew, Junaid Bhatti, in Nishtar Colony, who had also lost their lives in the attack. He also visited the house of another victim, Sahil Perviaz, 11, in Bihar Colony, Kot Lakhpat. He condoled with Perviaz’s mother and other members of the family. “Terrorists and their facilitators will find no place to hide. I promise that we will continue to fight these elements till this scourge is rooted out,” he said.
The chief minister also went to the house of a family at Eidgah near Miani Sahib graveyard, Islamia Park. Amjad, his wife Zubaida and their daughter Momina had died on Sunday. Six of their relatives visiting from Sanghar had also lost their lives in the blast.
