ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information Technology (MoIT) has invited Request for Proposals (RFP) for creating and managing the National Incubation Centre (NIC). It has given the green signal for establishing a ‘TechCity’ in Islamabad for which the NIC would be set up for graduates, entrepreneurs and start-ups. A subsidiary of the ministry is receiving RFPs so that licensed and registered legal entities can bid for building the NIC in Islamabad. The National Information Technology Board (NITB) agreed to provide space for the centre that is expected to be completed in five years. Applicants eligible for RFPs should be on the active tax payers’ list of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) along with having sound financial backing and a professional team with experience in the ICT sector. The fund has set April 27, 2016 as the last date for submitting proposals.
