SSP Operations Abbas Majeed Marwat has urged religious and trade representatives to play their part in ensuring maximum security for public places and religious buildings.

In a meeting at Malik Saad Shaheed Lines on Monday, Marwat asked religious leaders of Sikh, Muslim, Hindu and Christian communities, as well as trade association leaders, to cooperate closely with the police.

He urged the religious leaders to point out security loop holes at places of worship.

The SSP also requested trade representatives to report any suspicious activity in their respective markets, in order to ensure safety at public places.
