Violent end: Woman killed by son in DI Khan

DI KHAN: A woman was killed as she tried to end a family dispute between her sons in DI Khan on Sunday. An official of Cantonment police station said an argument took place between two brothers identified as Akmal and Ajmal. When the argument escalated, their mother Rozina Bibi intervened to end the dispute. One of the enraged brothers took out a pistol and opened fire. However, the bullet hit Rozina Bibi and she was killed on the spot. The Cantonment police official added soon after the incident, the culprits were suspected to have escaped to Miranshah, their native hometown in North Waziristan Agency, with their mother’s body. The official said the family settled in DI Khan following Operation Zarb-e-Azb in NWA. The police started investigation.
