Power Pilferage: Action sought against WAPDA officials

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments on Saturday from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director on a petition seeking registration of a case against an executive engineer (XEN), a sub-divisional officer (SDO), a meter reader and a line superintendent over power pilferage. Petitioner Haji Nazeer submitted that he had rented a shop to Muhammad Islam. He said that Islam had later started pilfering electricity with the connivance of the officials. He said that he had complained to the XEN concerned but he had done nothing in this regard. He requested the court to order registration of an FIR against them.
