Mother of three gives birth to quintuplets in Peshawar

The babies are being kept under strict medical condition due to unsatisfactory health

PESHAWAR: A mother of three gave birth to quintuplets earlier this week at the Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar in a complicated procedure.

Bibi Asiya, 28, hailing from the Jamrud town of Khyber Agency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was brought to the gynecology ward of the hospital on Thursday morning where she gave birth via C-Section.

Bibi Asiya gave birth to four males and one female who are under strict medical supervision. According to the hospital's press release, the condition of the babies is not of satisfactory level.

Unfortunately, one of the males did not survive and passed away on Saturday morning. All three previous deliveries were however, normal.

In December last year, a woman in her thirties gave birth to quintuplets at Civil Hospital, Karachi in her very first delivery that initially showed four fetuses.
