New parents: Woman gives birth to quintuplets

KARACHI: A woman in her 30s gave birth to quintuplets at Civil Hospital, Karachi, on Friday. The ultrasound of Sumera, who married Shakeel five years ago, showed four foetuses but, according to a female doctor at the hospital, she gave birth to five children, including a boy. “They were in normal condition at the time of birth,” she said. “This is her first delivery,” a relative of Shakeel told The Express Tribune. “We are surprised and very happy,” she added. According to the hospital staff, it has been five years since the birth of quintuplets at the facility.
