Happy Easter: Security and recreation arrangements complete

FAISALABAD:

The district administration has drawn up a security plan to provide security and to facilitate the Christian community on Good Friday (today) and on Easter which falls on March 27.

Administration officials said they had made arrangement for fool proof security in and around the churches. Volunteers will be deputed on special duty, they said. All churches will be decorated with fairy lights and buntings, they said.

The administration told journalists that they would conduct an anti-encroachment drive ahead of the events. “We have also arranged for family recreation after the Easter services…Christian families can avail tickets of Sindbad, Fun Land and Fun Dunya on 50 per cent discount.” They said free parking will be provided in front of churches and a one-day cricket tournament will be organised at the Bohranwali Round. They said the tournament has been organised in collaboration with the district coordination committee.

The administration officials said they were also planning an Easter Milan Party and a musical competition as part of Easter celebrations. Winners will be awarded cash prizes, they said.
