KARACHI: Our country has not come into existence merely with a resolution, said Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, adding that the country’s foundation was laid on the ‘blood of our elders’.
He was talking to the media after offering Fateha at Quaid-e-Azam’s Mausoleum along with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and his cabinet members on Wednesday.
“Under the able and dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the Muslims of the subcontinent struggled a lot and ultimately acquired this beloved country,” he said. He urged the people of the country to save Pakistan from extremism and terrorism and make it a cradle of peace and a seat of learning.
He recalled how Jinnah once said that all the people have equal rights, irrespective of their cast, creed or religion. He lauded how the Pakistan Army has waged a vigorous war against terrorism and paid tribute to Pakistan Rangers and police for restoring peace in the city.
