Jaranwala Saddar police on Saturday booked a woman for assaulting a women polio worker and obstructing official work.
A police spokesperson said a Health Department team was busy administering polio drops in Chak 63-GB when some of its members approached Mukhtara Bibi. Bibi assaulted lady health worker Sughra Bibi. Police registered an FIR against Bibi following a complaint by Sughra.
“I am a lady health worker. I was administering polio drops in Chak 63-GB when Bibi attacked me after I asked about any children being present at her house,” Sughra told The Express Tribune.
