Two suspected terrorists belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) succumbed to bullet injuries following an exchange of fire between police officials and suspected militants during the raid.

According to reports, police officials seized a suicide jacket, hand grenade and two pistols which were in the suspects' possession. A police mobile was also damaged.
"The bomb disposal squad has arrived at the scene to diffuse the bomb. Investigation is underway," Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Dr Farooq told The Express Tribune.
In January, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh apprehended five members of a banned organisation in Karachi and recovered arms from their possession.

The Sectarian Intelligence Group (SIG) of CTD arrested Sajjad Ali, Najeebullah, Amjad, Murad Ali and Nadeem alias Munna from Muhammadi Khan Colony and Ittehad Town areas and recovered five TT pistols and several rounds of bullets from their possession, said SIG in-charge Ali Raza.
