Expediting work: K-P govt to look into 19 foreign funded projects

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government is set to make a special review of 19 foreign funded projects.


This was stated in a handout issued on Friday. According to the document, the meeting,  which discussed the projects was held at the office of Planning and Development Department on Friday.

At the moot, each project was reviewed for progress, financial use and issues confronted in achieving the agreed objectives in time. During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan issued orders that improvements be made in the projects as per the set deadlines.

He directed the officials of Planning and Development Department to keep him updated regarding actions that would be taken in this respect.

On the occasion, Muhammad Azam said it was about time that the planning department gained the actual benefits on the projects.

Muhammad Azam said it is crucial to make sure money and efforts are put in the right place, in the right order to ensure transparency.

Also present at the meeting, the United Nations delegation and senior development professionals highly appreciated this initiative of the provincial government.
