Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri on Wednesday expressed his resolve for assistance and rehabilitation of the victims of the recent rains.
Speaking to members of the Balochistan Assembly, the CM said that directives have been issued for reconstruction of the affected roads and potable water schemes.
The MPAs had called on the chief minister to demand emergency relief work in their constituencies. MPA Nasarullah Khan Zehray, said that recent floods have even affected Quetta city.
Zehray said that in some localities gushing floodwaters have left small craters in the ground, posing threat to people and buildings alike.
The chief minister asked DG Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to dispatch relief supplies to affected areas. He said that experts of the Geological Survey of Pakistan will check the craters caused by land erosion following the rains.
