KARACHI:

The MQM’s another former lawmaker, Muhammad Ali Brohi, on Wednesday met Syed Mustafa Kamal as he announced to continue meeting group of the MQM’s dissidents in future.

Kamal and Anis Qaimkhani – the MQM’s key leaders – announced on March 3 to form their own yet-unnamed party as they levelled serious allegations against the MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

A number of MQM senior leaders, including Dr Sagheer Ahmed and Raza Haroon, have joined the group which is regarded as a threat to the Karachi based party.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Brohi did not confirm whether he is also joining Kamal’s party but said such meetings will continue in future.

“Mustafa Kamal and Anis Kaimkhani dared to bring a change. It is a nice change and will be beneficial for Karachi and Sindh,” he said.

Brohi was the party’s senator from 2004 to 2009 and won by-elections for the Senate seat that had fallen vacant after the death of former MMA’s leader Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani.

Mjay | 8 years ago | Reply It's only going to be Farooq Sattar and Nadeem Nusrat left in the end. Altaf Hussain himself will eventually join MK one of these days. Mondays and Thursdays are really unlucky for MQM.
