Family members told The Express Tribune the PML-N leader was laid to rest in his native graveyard in Shah Alam.
The PML-N stalwart was born on May 18, 1969 in Dhand and started his political career with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid.
Later, he joined PML-N and remained associated with it till his death. Arbab was elected for the first time on a PML-N ticket from PK-8, Peshawar-VIII in the 2013 general elections. He defeated PPP’s Malik Tahmash Khan after losing the 2008 general polls to him.

He was also elected as nazim of Daudzai.
At the assembly
In December 2015, Hayat contested against Mehr Taj Roghani for the office of the deputy speaker after PTI’s Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi vacated the seat.
Arbab was the deputy parliamentary leader of PML-N in K-P Assembly at the time of his demise and was the only lawmaker of PML-N from Peshawar. He also served as a member of special committees in the K-P Assembly, including capacity building, public accounts, excise and public health engineering.
As a sign of respect, Speaker of Assembly Asad Qaiser postponed the session till Monday.
