Promoting research: PAF-KIET holds two-day conference
The papers were presented in ten concurrent sessions; each chaired by an academic expert from renowned institutions
KARACHI:
The college of management sciences of Pakistan Air Force - Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (PAF-KIET), Karachi organised a two-day national research conference on business management on March 6, 2016. The event’s theme was ‘sharing knowledge for promoting research in academia’. Out of the total papers received, 72 were accepted by the technical committee for presentation at the conference. The papers were presented in ten concurrent sessions; each chaired by an academic expert from renowned institutions. The opening session on the first day commenced with a panel discussion on “Prospects and Problems of PhD in Pakistan” by eminent PhD scholars from various universities. The highlight of the conference was the submission of three research paper from China, presented live from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China through video link. PAF-KIET president AVM (retd) Tubrez Asif praised the efforts of the organising team, and commended the ‘highly innovative’ research presented by participants.
