Faulty investigation: IGP suspends two police officials

Durrani took action following public complaints against Inspector Abdur Rasheed and sub-inspector Mukhtiar Khan

PESHAWAR: IGP Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended two police officials for faulty and defective investigation in a murder case, and ordered the CCPO to conduct a departmental enquiry against them. A handout issued by the Central Police Office on Monday stated Durrani took action following public complaints against Inspector Abdur Rasheed and sub-inspector Mukhtiar Khan of Chamkani police station for irresponsible and poor investigation in a murder case. The notification added that due to negligence shown by the policemen, the accused behind the murder were released by the court due to lack of evidence.
