Father throws $6 million party for daughter's 15th birthday

She is definitely daddy's little girl!

Maya Henry, from Texas, was thrown a $6 million party by her father, Thomas J Henry to celebrate her Quinceañera - a Latina coming-of-age celebration on a girl's 15th birthday.

Her father, a successful lawyer, invited rapper Pitbull and Nick Jonas to perform at the celebration.

Maya's make-up was done by artist Patrick Ta, who has previously worked with the Kardashians. She flaunted two dresses on her night, both created especially by celebrity designer Rolando Santana. Her birthday was captured by celebrity wedding photographer Donna Newman, who has also worked with Matt Damon and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The party was held across 55,000 square-feet in San Antonio decorated with 30-foot tall cherry trees in full blossom, walls of roses, fountains, a 'garden room' and a ballroom with butterflies suspended from the ceiling.

Maya, who has more than 21,000 Instagram followers, is regularly pictured meeting celebrities, including Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake and even presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton.

With 600 guests in attendance, lawyer Thomas J Henry hired the services of New York social event planner David Monn, who has events like White House State Visit to his name, and a team of 150 event planners to organise the party at the purpose-built venue, according to Detroit Newstime.

According to the Daily Mail, Maya's father runs his own personal injury firm, employing more than 60 attorneys. Thomas said his wife, Azteca wanted to give Maya "an unforgettable night to mark her transition into young adulthood."

Maya, who is a high school freshman, is a regular on the Texas Tennis Championship circuit.

The Daily Mail quoted her father as saying, "Maya is a smart, driven, outstanding young woman. She has already worked so hard to get where she is with her studies, tennis and activism."

"Her mother and I wanted to give her an unforgettable night to mark her transition into young adulthood. We are so excited to see what the future holds for Maya."
