Lawyers observed a strike on Tuesday in a protest against the suicide attack on the Shabqadar sessions court.
Addressing an event held to condemn the attack, Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) secretary Muhammad Anas Ghazi said it was the job of government to provide protection to lawyers and courts. He strongly condemned the attack. “Lawyers should cooperate with security staff deputed at gates,” he said. LHCBA president Rana Zia Abdur Rehman said that they had set up a relief fund for the victims of the Shabqadar attack.
