Every man should watch this short film by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy
"The most important career decision you'll make is who you marry" -- Sheryl Sandberg
It's International Women's Day today, and what better way to celebrate it than to honour the ones among us who work for the empowerment of women everyday?
Two-time Oscar winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy did just that as she posted a short film in celebration of the day.
The film follows the story of a woman, Gul-e-Khandana, from Swat and how she works to educate young girls and empower women, especially the poor, in her area.

Perhaps the most beautiful thing about the video is the part her loving husband, Haroon, plays in this journey. Aptly titled A Modern Marriage in Swat, Pakistan, the couple breaks all stereotypes of a typical household.
While the woman works for gender equality, the husband takes care of the house, cooks and supports her in every step. Together, they are changing the world one step at a time.
