Shikhar Dhawan was the top scorer, with 60 off 44 balls, as India reached 122-2 in 13.5 overs after restricting Bangladesh to 120-5.
The match was reduced to 15-over-a-side affair after storms delayed play by two hours.
Mahmudullah Riyad struck an unbeaten 33 off 13 balls to set up Bangladesh's total.

The match will begin at 8.30 pm PST. Each innings has been reduced to 15-overs. Fielding restrictions are for five overs, and a bowler can bowl upto three overs.
The umpires will inspect the conditions at 7.45 pm PST. Damp areas near the boundary are still of concern. Overs will start getting reduced at 7.40 pm PST.
The rain has stopped and the pitch has been uncovered as well. Hopefully, the toss will begin after ground inspection by the management.
Unfortunately, rain has been pouring down in Mirpur which has delayed the toss.
A 20-minute power failure, which followed the rain, only made the matter worse as the connection to the flood-lights has yet to be restored.
The match has no reserve day, meaning the trophy will be shared in the event there is no play. The cut-off time to finish the game is 10:50pm local time.
