LAHORE:

A disagreement has emerged between two private school owners’ associations in the province on whether to go on a strike against the recently passed Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation) Bill (Amended) 2015 or not.

APPSMA president Adeeb Jawdani said that they would wait till the end of the annual examinations underway in the province to make a decision in this regard. The exams would end on March 9.

All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) president Kashif Mirza said that a decision on strike would be taken in view of the outcome of a meeting scheduled for Sunday (tomorrow) between the private school owners and the CM.

On Friday, Education Minister Rana Mashhood had presided over a meeting of schools owners and district officials.
