Shoot-out: Three more suspected gangsters shot dead

Later in the night, the Lyari police killed three gangsters accused of involvement in the attack

Three suspected gangsters allegedly involved in a recent hand grenade attack in Lyari were killed on Friday.


The Rangers killed the gangsters during an exchange of fire near Brohi Chowk in Kalakot. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital, Karachi, for autopsies. The deceased were identified as Gul Nawaz alias Peera, Bilawal alias Mendu and Naeem. A Rangers spokesperson said that the gangsters were affiliated with the Sheraz Comrade faction of the Uzair Baloch group. On Wednesday, a minor girl was killed while over a dozen others were wounded when armed gangsters attacked a medical store in Singu Lane. Later in the night, the Lyari police killed three gangsters accused of involvement in the attack. A Rangers spokesperson said that in the wake of the grenade attack, search operation and intense patrolling was carried out Rangers and, during the search of probable gangsters' hideouts, the gangsters opened fire on Rangers and tried to escape.
