QUETTA:
People observed Baloch Culture Day on March 2, across the province and also in many other cities of the country. In Quetta, people of all nationalities celebrated the day marked with fanfare, colourful ceremonies and public gatherings in traditional Baloch attire, cultural music and folk dances. Women and children in particular turned out in scores adorning heavily embroidered and flowing Balochi dresses, while men wore white turbans and traditional white shalwar qameez with waistcoat. Balochistan National Party-Mengal chief Sardar Akhter Mengal also participated in the function. “People should respect their culture, language and values that highlight their recognition,” Mengal said.
