The Chief Commissioner Islamabad Zulfiqar Haider has directed officials of market committee to ensure effective checking of sale of fruits, vegetables and other products at the prescribed rates.
The authorities of market committee have been asked to properly govern the regulation of purchase and sale of agricultural produce, official sources said.
The committee has been asked to constitute special teams for the purpose of effective checking which should ensure sale of various products at the prescribed rates.
It has also been directed to impose fine on those involved in profiteering and ensure proper display of rate list at the shops.
