Medical services: Role of health workers lauded
The MHC project was launched in November 2015 for a period of seven months
PESHAWAR:
FATA Health Services Director Dr Zafeer Hussain has said field workers at mobile health camps (MHC) play an important role by reducing the number of children who missed either polio vaccine or routine immunisation. They are serving the marginalised population, said Hussain in a statement issued by the Emergency Operation Cell in Fata on Wednesday. So far, 457 health camps have been conducted, where 7,543 family hygiene kits were distributed among pregnant women. At least 235 health kits were provided to the people and a number of children were vaccinated. The MHC project was launched in November 2015 for a period of seven months. The camps were established in Frontier Region Bannu, Khyber Agency, South Waziristan and North Waziristan agencies.
