Renewable energy: Taiwan firm to invest in solar technology
The project would help boost the image of Tevta in Punjab

The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) would train its in-service teachers and unemployed youth in the field of solar technology in collaboration with New Green Power Taiwan.Talking to a delegation of New Green Power Taiwan, Tevta Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said Tevta had already trained 400 workers in solar panel installation and 268 in solar water-heating system at the Govt Staff Training College Gulberg, Lahore. He said Tevta had trained another batch of 50 in-service teachers in these courses of the solar sector. “Additionally, it has established 25 solar labs in its institutes across Punjab,” said a press release.Sheikh said the Taiwanese company was planning to invest in Pakistan in solar sector in collaboration with Tevta. The project would help boost the image of Tevta in Punjab.
