Hygiene conditions: Factory, shops sealed

FAISALABAD:


Food inspection teams on Friday sealed two factories, five shops and a hotel for selling food in unhygienic conditions.


A spokesman of the district administration said teams led by Chief Food Inspector Abdul Qayyum Awan and Assistant Commissioner (AC) Bilal Abro checked various shops, hotels, bakeries and food factories in the city.


He said the teams found Ibraheem Murabbah Factory in Afghanabad and Zain Murabbah Factory in Nadir Town preparing food in unhygienic conditions.


He said Kashif Milk Shop in Douglaspura, a grocery store near the Grain Market, Tayyab Hotel and Sheerin Mehal Sweets in Gulfishan Colony, Lyallpur Fry Onion in Shadab Colony and Dynasty Hotel at Jaranwala Road were found selling adulterated or expired items. He said samples taken had been sent to the laboratory.
