PESHAWAR: PHC Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel expressed his frustration over information not being provided on five internment centres, saying the matter should not take months.

Hearing a petition, the court was informed Salman was missing for years; his detention was later confirmed by security forces through a report submitted in court. The initial report read Salman was at the Bannu internment centre. However, Home Secretary Munir Azam, the AAG, and Bannu centre in charge expressed their ignorance of his detention; a report from Malkand internment centre was awaited.

After hearing arguments, the federal government was granted a last chance to locate Salman.
