Hits and misses from the red carpet

The Express Tribune gives you a rundown of celebrities' sartorial looks from the red carpet

Following its trailer and music launch, Nasir Khan’s Bachaana premiered in Lahore on Tuesday. The ‘reel life’ pair of Mohib Mirza and Sanam Saeed, along with the former’s real life spouse Aamina Sheikh, were in attendance along with the rest of the cast and crew. The Express Tribune gives you a rundown of their sartorial looks from the red carpet.

Aamina Sheikh

Aamina Sheikh looked like a retro doll in a Maheen Karim ensemble. This cape by Karim has done its fair share of rounds on the fashion circuit but Sheikh wore it with aplomb. The moonlight material, slouchy jumpsuit dazzled under the camera flash from the paparazzi. She wore a pair of strappy black heels and kept her makeup minimal with brown eyes and a pink pout — no doubt, a winning combination.

Mohib Mirza

Mirza opted for a well-constructed Amir Adnan Banarsi blazer complete to a tee with a red handkerchief. The ethnic elements of Banarsi in the blazer worn with unconventional brown pants and formal shoes completed the look. Mirza payed attention to detail, wearing blue socks and keeping his pants slightly rolled up so as to reveal the groovy addition. 10/10 to him for trumping the look.

Sanam Saeed

The statuesque Saeed can pull off anything with elegance but this Sania Maskatiya number did not do justice to her look at the red carpet premiere. “Larki Hindustani ho ya Pakistani” (Whether the girl is Indian or Pakistani),  she should keep her ghagra choli relegated to the back of her closet until a wedding turns up and this most definitely wasn’t one. A beautiful ensemble on its own, it was not occasion appropriate. She did, however, look resplendent and glowed while talking to the media in between her co-stars Adeel Hashmi and Mirza.
