Zakat Rozgar Scheme: First phase to start today

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Zakat and Ushar Malik Nadeem Kamran said on Tuesday that the first phase of Zakat Rozgar Rickshaw Scheme (Mustahqeen-e-Zakat se Sahib-e-Nisab Tak) will begin from February 24 (today). He said 63 auto rickshaws would be be distributed among deserving people in the first phase of the programme. He said a ceremony would be held in this regard at 10am on Tuesday. He was speaking to the media at the Assembly Chamber. He said the programme was being started in nine districts in the first phase. These are Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan.
